Rhus wax is extracted from the hull of Rhus fruit by physical squeezing and/or solvent extract. Rhus wax consists of 90%-95% of higher fatty acid triglycerides, 3%-5% free fatty acid and 1%-2% of free fatty alcohol.
Characteristics:
(1) Its appearance is pale yellow, yellow green, gray white, gray yellow solid. It is waxy, water-insoluble, brittle, tough, easy to fracture, lacklustre of crack surface, and will frosting after a long time placing
(2) Water-insoluble, soluble in organic solvents such as hot ethanol, n-hexane and chloroform, petroleum ether, oluene and trichloroethane
(3) Can compatible with many kinds of cosmetics ingredients, wax, fatty acid, fatty acid ester and mineral oil
(4) Fine crystallization, glossiness is improved
